Our Mission
Our mission is to make spirit guide communication accessible to everyone. Through practical training, clear instruction, and firsthand experience, we help people build the confidence and skills to develop a genuine, lifelong relationship with their spirit guides.

At the Lingen Institute of Spirit Studies, spirit guide communication is understood as a natural human ability that can be cultivated through practice and experience. Although some people begin life with stronger intuitive or mediumistic abilities, everyone has the capacity to develop a meaningful relationship with their spirit guides.

Our work is built on the understanding that no two people connect in exactly the same way. Each person has a unique "spiritual nervous system", which is why we teach a wide range of techniques and meditations rather than a single approach. By exploring different methods, each student can discover the forms of spirit communication that feel most natural to them.

Developing a relationship with your spirit guides is about far more than learning a new spiritual skill. It brings a greater sense of guidance, trust, and companionship on your spiritual path. As your connection deepens, you'll feel more connected to your intuition, more confident in your decisions, and less alone as you navigate life's challenges. Over time, your relationship with your guides becomes a steady source of wisdom, encouragement, and perspective that continues to deepen through regular practice.​
Lux Lingen
Lux is a consciousness researcher, shamanic practitioner, and teacher who has spent more than two decades exploring spirit communication, intuition, and expanded states of consciousness. He has additional certifications in hypnotherapy and sound healing, is a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, and holds a master's degree in International Politics and Public Policy.

His journey began at the stone circles of England, where at the age of twelve he first encountered subtle energy through dowsing and direct experience. Those early encounters sparked a lifelong fascination with consciousness and the unseen world.
​
During his teenage years he was initiated into shamanism by the late Tira Brandon-Evans of the Society of Celtic Shamans. Lux later moved on to the "Core Shamanism" system of Michael Harner and The Foundation for Shamanic Studies, though pursuing his own unique approach based on his experiences.
​
Over the years he has trained shamanic practitioners and worked extensively with mediums and trance channels, helping them refine their gifts and deepen their contact with the spirit world. Prior to his founding of the Lingen Institute, he spent five years leading the Spirit World Center, a school dedicated to spirit communication and shamanic studies.
​
On his path, Lux has acted as both sitter and scribe for nearly 2,000 hours of channeled communications, giving him a rare opportunity to observe spirit communication through different methods and states of consciousness.
​
His research eventually led him to a simple but profound conclusion: meaningful contact with spirit guides is not reserved for the naturally gifted. While some people begin with stronger intuitive abilities than others, nearly everyone can develop this relationship through practice, experience, and the right techniques. This philosophy forms the foundation of the Lingen Institute of Spirit Studies.
Today, Lux teaches a practical, experience-based approach to spirit communication that combines meditation, shamanic journeying, dreams, automatic writing, divination, synchronicities, and other methods. Rather than teaching a single path, he encourages students to discover the approaches that best match their own unique spiritual nervous system.
His greatest passion in life is helping people awaken their innate spiritual abilities and develop a genuine, lifelong relationship with their spirit guides.
